Anemia

Anemia is a challenging diagnosis to make by observing someone’s colour. Being pale is a poor indicator of underlying low haemoglobin, and in fact, a lot of children with iron deficiency will maintain normal haemoglobin despite low iron levels. Regular and routine supplementation with iron and vitamin D is a good idea alternatively testing iron levels annually, or we’ve further indicated it is a better idea.
