A scrotum is the sack that holds the testicles and should be observed in the young for abnormal swelling.
- Hernias can appear in the scrotum, they can be dangerous pieces of bowel that may get trapped or a simple fluid hernia that can be safely watched.
- Painful swelling from a twisted/distorted testicle or an infected epididymis – both need checking.
