Seizures or Febrile Fits are most commonly seen with a fever. These are known as febrile convulsions but will need an assessment to diagnose or exclude epilepsy. they can present in many various forms:
- Localised or focal TIC’s in a limb
- Generalized whole body jerks with loss of consciousness
- Brief moments of absence
- Falling to the ground
All forms need a careful examination, investigation and potentially a specialist review with treatment.
